McCotter Grills Interim Director of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
Washington, D.C. – As a member of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit within the Committee on Financial Services, U.S. Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (MI-11) questioned Raj Date, Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Rep. McCotter asked whether the CFPB is really consolidating bureaucracy if the old bureaucracy isn't actually eliminated. The hearing overall examined progress of the Bureau’s first 100 days.
