McCotter Holds Capitol Hill Press Conference and Luncheon Speech on Social Security Legislation

Washington, D.C.— U.S. Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (MI-11) will file and introduce legislation designed to save the Social Security retirement and disability trust funds from insolvency.
At the Heritage Foundation luncheon Rep. McCotter will reveal how his plan will not require benefit cuts or higher taxes and prove why Social Security expert Peter J. Ferrara has praised Rep. McCotter’s legislation as the “largest single reduction of government debt in world history”.
A press conference will be held by Rep McCotter at the Capitol Hill Triangle, Grover Norquist; president of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) will speak in support of the legislation followed by Peter Ferrara. Americans For Prosperity (AFP) has also written a letter supporting McCotter’s legislation.
