WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican House Policy Chairman, Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) – announced his “no” vote opposition to the Senate version of the trillion dollar Wall Street Bailout bill, cements added to the House version of the legislation and released the following statement:
“The now $800 billion Wall Street Bailout bill remains intrinsically unfair to the American people; does not properly address the short-term financial issues it purports to solve; and does not even begin to address the deeper economic dysfunctions in our American and global markets.
“Thus, on behalf of my constituents – who have opposed the unfair Wall Street Bailout bill from Day One – I voted “No.”
