Congressman McCotter secures

close to $14 Million in road funding

The bill provides 42% more than the current spending levels, with highway funding 38% more and transit programs 51% more. It earmarks $11.1 billion for projects requested by individual Congressional members. The measure permits states to allow low- emission and energy-efficient vehicles, such as hybrids, and to use high- occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes.

"This legislation will provide necessary funding for road improvements within our communities which are vital to improving economic development and creating jobs," McCotter said.
