Washington – Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (MI-11) made the following statement in response to President Bush’s State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress this evening.
“As our troops and our nation strives and sacrifices to transform rogue enemies into peaceful nations to increase our homeland security, Washington must promote policies to strengthen Americans' household security.
Southeast Michigan residents deserve to realize the same economic recovery many other homes are beginning to experience across the country. As the President addresses the needs of our changing economy, I encourage him to serve as an ally of our nation’s manufacturers to preserve and promote this indispensable engine of our economy."
