McCotter in Congressional Delegation Going to Iraq,
Kuwait and Germany

Washington Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-Livonia) is part of a Congressional Delegation presently traveling throughout the Middle East to survey Iraqi reconstruction efforts.

The delegation is comprised of members of the U.S. House Small Business Committee which will review the role U.S. small businesses are playing in the reconstruction.

Also a member of the House International Relations Subcommittee on the Middle East and House Budget Committee, Congressman McCotter wants to ensure reconstruction maximizes the involvement of American small and medium-sized businesses and does not focus solely on multinational corporations.

The delegation will also travel to Germany where it will meet with German and American business officials, as well as, high ranking U.S. military personnel and representatives of the German government.

During the trip, Rep. McCotter will spend time with military personnel from Michigan who are now deployed in Kuwait, Iraq, and Germany.
