McCotter Encourages Boeing to Locate New Facility at Willow Run

Washington  - Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-Livonia) made the following statement in response to the business case presented to Boeing Corporation by the Governor and Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to host the new 7E7 manufacturing facility.

“Willow Run possesses a storied history in aviation, especially its role in producing more than 8,000 B-24 Liberators during World War II and helping earn Detroit its title as ‘The Arsenal of Democracy’.  Today, Willow Run is ready to build the next great airliner, the 7E7.

I appreciate the cooperation between federal, state, and local officials as we work together for Michigan.  Its talented workforce and manufacturing experience stand ready to help Boeing grow.”
